What's New
Day 1,060 - It's been almost three years since the completion of this amplifier and it continues to delight.  Recently, I added an extension speaker, which is a Fat Cat 1 x 12 detuned cabinet by Tone Tools.  The speaker is a Celestion Alnico Blue; perhaps the best speaker in the world.  I've added some brand new sound clips with this speaker and the internal Alltone speaker.  Go to he "Playing The Amp" section to hear them.

Day 830 - Another year gone by.  Added a couple new comments in the "Playing The Amp" section.

Day 500 - Surprise.  A TMCases flight case for the amp showed up at my door.  Read about this in the "Playing The Amp" section.

Day 486 - Added an update to the "Playing The Amp" section to give folks an idea of what I'm doing with the amp more than a year after getting it.  Hint:  It's still great!

Day 121 - Posted some additional sound clips today to demonstrate more of the amps variety of tones.  These two, new clips are in a band format.

Day 105 - Took some time during a set break to make some new recordings of the amp (including the use of a pedal steel guitar!)  Check out the "Playing The Amp" section.  I also documented my stage setup for the event.

Day 078 - I've finally documented what happened on my third visit to Mikey's shop on day 042.  The primary changes are to the "Another Visit to Mikey" section and the "Mercury Magnetics" section but the "Playing The Amp" section also has an update.  There is quite a bit of new information, including a full report on the new Mercury Magnetics power transformer.

Day 042 - I went back to Mikey's for the third time and he installed the new Mercury Magnetics power transformer they created in September as a drop in replacement for the standard DRRI power transformer.  It's cool to know that this project prompted the creation of this excellent piece of iron.  Mikey also did some additional fine-tuning to my amp to even better suit my tonal preferences.  My next task will be to write more about the Mercury PT and these tweaks.

Day 010 - Oh no.  Too much of a good thing.  I got a note from earthlink saying I was just about to exceed my bandwidth traffic limit and so I had to move the entire website to http://waynereno.com and pay for more bandwidth.  Should be fine now.  Tough day though.  15 hours of redoing web pages.

Day 009 - Published this website for the first time.  Whew.  It sure took a lot of work to get to this point!  In the first 24 hours, there were 800 hits.

Day 008 - Played my first gig with the amp.  See the "Playing the Amp" section for detials.

Day 002 - In addition to playing the amp, I spent most of the day writing up yesterday's visit in the sections "Another Visit to Mikey" and "Playing The Amp".  I spent some time on the phone with Mikey today to help make sure my descriptions of the power supply section are accurate.

Day 001 - Went to Mikey's and picked up the amp.  Played it for an hour when I got home.
